Wiesmann MF3 Roadster – sticks to the road like a gecko to a wall
Specifications:
History:
“British in every way, except for one little thing: it's German,” Jeremy Clarkson once said about the Wiesmann Roadster he drove for Top Gear. The same specification as the one we are proud to offer. And in a unique original Ferrari colour - Azzuro California. With a beautiful contrasting beige leather interior. In perfect condition. With 30,000 kilometres on the odometer, this hand-built Roadster is completely damage-free and problem-free. And still as fast as the day it left the Dülmen factory in 2010. A factory built in the shape of a gecko; the logo that also adorns the car and symbolizes the fact that the car sticks to the road like a gecko to a wall.
Despite its British appearance, this Wiesmann is 100% German and stands for pure driving dynamics. This is partly due to the low vehicle weight of less than 1,200 kilos; on the other hand, by the enormous power of the legendary 6-cylinder in-line engine from the BMW M3, which is installed as a mid-engine in the front of the Roadster MF3. With 343 hp or 252 kW and a maximum torque of 365 Nm, the power-to-weight ratio is 3.44 kg/hp and the MF3 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. Manually shifting through the 6 gears of the sequential BMW M gearbox, it reaches a top speed of 255 km/h.
At the time, Wiesmann produced only 200 cars per year; built largely by hand. The cars were constructed entirely of stainless material. The chassis is made of aluminium, the body is made of fiberglass and the exhaust system is completely made of stainless steel. The production process required 300 hours per car. German engineering pur sang – perfection in performance!
The car offered here is unique. The first Swiss owner selected an original Ferrari colour for the body: Azzuro California, which contrasts beautifully with the beige leather interior. After a long ownership, she came into the hands of the current owner via the well-known German specialist Weishaupt. He took very good care of it but drove far fewer kilometres than he had planned. The new tires he fitted have less than 500 kilometres on them …
Now we can pass this very well maintained Wiesmann on to the next owner who can drive many exhilarating and fast kilometres with it. The reliable technology guarantees many years of worry-free enjoyment. A unique piece of German car history in excellent condition. Ready for a spectacular test drive.
