De Lancia Montecarlo werd in twee series ontworpen en geproduceerd in Turijn in de Pininfarina-fabriek. Serie 1 was van 1975 tot 1978, en serie 2 was van 1980 tot 1981. Er waren 2 carrosserievarianten: 2-deurs coupé en 2-deurs Targa. Van dit type bouwde Lancia in 1982 de beroemde rallyauto 037 De Beta Montecarlo werd uiteindelijk onthuld in maart 1975.
De eerste serie kreeg de naam Lancia Beta Montecarlo. Ze heetten "Montecarlo", geschreven als één woord.
Het vermogen kwam van een Twin Cam 1995 cc Lampredi inline vier, die 120 pk (88 kW; 118 pk) ontwikkelde bij 6000 tpm. Lancia claimde een topsnelheid van ruim 190 km/u en een acceleratietijd van 0-100 km/u van 9,3 seconden.
Kenmerkend voor de eerste serie waren de massieve panelen van de achterspatborden boven de motorruimte en de 8,8Jx13" lichtmetalen velgen, uniek voor dit model. Het interieur was standaard bekleed met vinyl (TVE, Elasticized Vinylic Textile), en als optie met stof. optie De bestuurdersspiegel (rechter was optioneel) was van Vitaloni Californian. In 1978 werd de productie van de Beta Montecarlo series 1 stopgezet.
Deze zogenaamde Ladies-Ferrari is er één van 900 stuks gebouwd in 1976, en werd in 1984 vanuit Italië naar Nederland geïmporteerd en de laatste eigenaar kocht hem in 1995 en bewaarde hem in zijn verzameling. Daarna hebben wij hem in 2018 gekocht en hij is direct door de APK gegaan. Sindsdien stond hij in onze showroom. Het heeft geen roest en is volledig ongerestaureerd. Hij heeft een optioneel stoffen interieur en ook een rechterspiegel.
De zeer lage kilometerstand, originele velgen en mooie originele staat en geen roest, maakt dit zeker een echte verzamelbare en waardevolle auto. Door de middenmotor en het lage gewichtspunt beschikt hij over een zeer goed weggedrag. Sinds januari 2023 beschikt hij over een historisch kenteken met blauwe kentekenplaten en sinds juni 2024 heeft hij een nieuwe APK (APK)

The Beta Montecarlo was finally unveiled March 1975. First Series were badged as Lancia Beta Montecarlo. They were named "Montecarlo", written as one word. Power came from a Twin Cam 1995 cc Lampredi inline four, developing 120 PS (88 kW; 118 hp) at 6000 rpm. Lancia claimed a top speed of over 190 km/h and a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 9.3 seconds.
Distinctions of the first series were the solid panels to the rear wings above the engine bay and 8,8Jx13" alloy wheels, unique to this model. The interior was upholstered in vinyl (TVE, Elasticized Vinylic Textile) as standard, in cloth as an option. The driver's side mirror (right one was optional) was a Vitaloni Californian. In 1978 the production of the Beta Montecarlo series 1 was halted.
This so called Ladies-Ferrari is one of 900 pcs build in 1976, and was in 1984 imported from Italy to the Netherlands and the last owner bought it in 1995 and stored it in his collection. After that we bought it in 2018 and it passed immediately the APK (MOT). Since then it was in our Showroom. It has no rust and is fully unrestored. It has optional cloth interior and also a right mirror. The very low milage, original rims, and nice original condition and no rust, makes this for sure a real collectable and valuable car.
It has a very good roadbehaviour, because of the middle engine and the low weightpoint. Since januari 2023 it has a historic registration with blue numberplates and it has since June 2024 a new APK (MOT)
